The volunteer leaders of the Homecare & Hospice Foundation, the charitable arm of the Homecare & Hospice Agency - believe that dying – at any age - in the sheltering embrace of compassion, loving care and dignity is a worthy and noble gift one person gives another.
The Good Shepherd Hospice House will serve as "heart, hearth and home" for the terminally ill and their family members during what are the final yet especially meaningful weeks, days and hours of one’s life.
The hospice house will allow access to medical and hospice professionals while at the same time allowing access to family and friends. Each bedroom will also allow – depending on each client’s needs and choices – an opportunity to make the space theirs, so that they may die in a sheltering embrace of home, family and love. |
